We are in Central Authority

Well, word is our form was turned into the Central Authority on January 25, 2008. There is an 8 day (working days) wait to get approval, then onto PGN. This is awesome...however, there is some discrepancy on the forms. It seems there are two different forms and no one is sure which is the correct form. So, it may get kicked out if the wrong form is used. We'll see. I will be there next week when we are due to get our approval in CA. Hopefully I'll hear good news while I am there visiting my sweet angel.

I cannot wait to hold this guy and snuggle up with him. I am looking forward to every minute we are together. I joked with the boys that every time I change his diaper I am changing his outfit! I bought lots, but they are all so cute. He deserves new things too. So, there will be lots and lots of pictures! I will set up to take some of us together.

I'll post when I know more.

Update from Attorney

The attorney wrote me back already, here is her response, "your case is out from pgn with the previo asking for the pa so now we need to register the case in the central authority next week and I plan to resubmitted inside pgn also next week".

From this it appears the Central Authority is open and taking the registrations. Here's hoping for a fast 8-10 weeks with no previos!

I'll let you know when I am resubmitted.

I have Pre-Approval!

We have Pre-Approval....day 46!

I was so excited to open my email and see pre-approval today. We still have a way to go, but this is one more step out of the way.

I have emailed the attorney and agency to get an update on what happens next. I'll keep you posted.

I received new pictures yesterday and he looks a lot better. He is getting so big! I can't wait to get there in 2 weeks.

New Photos!

I finally received new photos today. My poor Boo doesn't look very good. He looks like he has a nasty cold and some sort of rash on his face. The pictures are taken at such a low resolution I am having a hard time printing them out. I can't wait to get down there next month and physically see him. It is so sad to see him look not as bright eyed as the previous photos.

The doctor report put him at 20 pounds and 29 inches.

We are still waiting on Pre-approval, and hoping it comes any day now. I will email the Embassy on Friday if I don't receive anything by then.

1 month until visit!!!

Nico and I had fun today going shopping for some new clothes, pj's, onsies, bottles, and blankets for the baby. I even found them matching or close to matching Spiderman pj's. I can see the picture already. (Brian might hurt me if I try to get him in Spidey Pj's to take one of all 3 of them together - that would be great).

One month from today I will be traveling through Houston to meet my son at 4pm on February 4th!

I am checking my emails several times a day for Pre-approval and new pictures this month.

I had to change hotels as the lawyer in Guatemala said she does not like the Raddison because it is not secure enough. I immediately searched for her recommendations and found the beautiful Hotel Vista Real. I have heard very good things about it from others that stayed there. Of course, I will have lots and lots of pictures - you all know me. I have decided to make a mini scrapbook album on my visit with him.

On the video they are calling him Miguelito (little Mike), so Jose will be taken out of his name and making it just Luca Austin once he arrives home. I was informed he doesn't use a pacifier - good. They are not prone to sticking them in their babies mouths as we are in the US. I don't know if he is a thumbsucker like his big brother, Nico, but that is okay. Nico has always been a content little guy.

I'll post and send pics as they arrive.

More Excitement

Today Michael went back to the other house and retrieved the mail. Much to my surprise there was a DVD in there with movie of the baby! I was so excited. We watched it once and Nico immediately said, "Let's watch it again!" He is adorable and looks healthy and happy. I wish I would have kept up with my Spanish though as I can only understand a few words they are saying. I have a call into my friend from Colombia to help me out!

If I can download it to my computer then I will try to add some of it here or send via emails.

Update

I emailed the attorney in Guatemala yesterday, hoping to get more accurate information. She wrote back today to let me know that she entered us to PGN on December 26 so we could have a 2007 date on our documents --- this will grandfather us in. We will be kicked out with what is called a 'previo' because we don't have Pre-Aprroval yet, but we should have that within the next two weeks - I hope.

I am hoping while it is in PGN if they find other things they need then they will have us fix them at this time instead of going back in and getting previo'ed again. It would be so great to have him home before his first birthday!

I am anticipating new pictures of our now 7 month old baby boy the first week in January. Keep an eye on your emails for new pics and hopefully some health information.

I am hoping he received his Christmas package and they will send some photos of him with his toys.

Happy HOlidays everyone!
